Monster High - Draculaura

Last month it was Spectra for Caitlin, and this month it's Draculaura for little miss Erin who turned 7! When I showed her the cake, spontaneously without a word she gave me a big hug which brought tears to my eyes!

  1. Hi Jocelyn, I live in Costa Rica and I would love to make a similar cake for my niece's birthday. Could you please let me know how did you make the Draculaura face on this cake? Do you have molds? Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi Ana

I'm so sorry I don't check my blog regularly. Even if your niece's birthday has passed you still can use this method for other cakes.

      1) print 2 copies of the picture to the size you want
      2) from 1 copy cut out the different sections (hair, face, eyes, lips, etc)
      3) place the sections on coloured fondant accordingly and cut out
      4) place a piece of wax paper over un-cut picture
      5) place cut-out pieces on wax paper, over the original picture so that you get the exact placement.

You can glue the finished product over another piece of fondant, to be placed on the cake so that it can be removed before cutting.
My niece was very upset when we had to cut Spectra's face! So for her little sister's cake (Draculaura) I glued the finished product on a separate piece of fondant. I still have Draculaura's face with me!

I hope you understand my instructions.
      Good luck!

      Jay :)
